General Questions
Sex work decriminalised in Queensland
As of 02 August 2024, the sex work industry in Queensland has been decriminalised. More info can be found here.
Can I get a sexual health certificate?
We see many sex workers for sexual health testing and management. Sexual health certificate of attendance are no longer required under the new laws which came into effect from 02 August 2024. Some brothels may still require a sex worker to provide a certificate still. This is a brother requirement and not a legal requirement.
Can I see a female Doctor?
We currently are lucky enough to have Dr Fabiola who is a Sexual Health Physician. Visits with her do require a GP referral and she does not perform general practice.
I think I might have an STI, what do I do?

Can I take PrEP as a sex worker?
PrEP is used by many people to prevent the spread of HIV. To check if PrEP is right for you, book an appointment with one of our GP’s or Sexual Health Physicians.

Do sex workers need to use condoms?
Sex workers must use a prophylactic (condom) under the Prostitution Act in Queensland. Further sex workers are only eligible to work in licensed brothels if they are subject to three monthly sexual health examinations.
